Washington County Cooperative Insurance Company was organized on March 30, 1858 as the Easton Mutual Insurance Company for the purpose of transacting business as an assessment co-operative fire insurance company in the Town of Easton, Washington County, New York.

Today the company’s focus is on writing policies to protect farms, homes, mobile homes and businesses in 17 counties in the Eastern Upstate New York area.
